Transport Supervisor – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Noble Recruiting are delighted to be supporting a well-established Essex-based organisation in their search for an experienced Transport Supervisor on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role within the logistics function, working closely with commercial, procurement and production teams to ensure the smooth and compliant movement of goods in and out of the site.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day logistics schedules for goods in and goods out
- Coordinate closely with commercial, procurement and production teams
- Ensure on-time delivery to end customers in compliance with ADR, IMDG and IATA standards
- Maintain accurate and compliant transport documentation
- Monitor and distribute transport and freight rates internally
- Support customs and transport administrators to ensure full compliance
- Assist with scheduled and ad hoc operational logistics activities
Person Specification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within transport or logistics
- Knowledge of import/export processes or customs desirable
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Good geographical knowledge
- Confident in managing supplier and customer relationships
- Driver with own transport essential due to location
