£29,000 to £32,000 per annum
Noble Recruiting are partnering with a freight forwarding company in Basildon that is looking to hire an experienced Multi-Modal Export Administrator to support the day-to-day management of export bookings. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong freight forwarding knowledge and hands-on experience across air, road and sea exports, who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced logistics environment.
The role
As a Multi-Modal Export Administrator, you will support the smooth running of export operations, ensuring bookings are handled accurately, clients are kept updated and shipments move efficiently across multiple transport modes.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure client needs and expectations are met at all times
- Assist with sales leads coming into the department, responding to export-related enquiries
- Coordinate multi-modal export shipments across sea, road and air
- Liaise with 3PL providers, carriers and customs authorities to support smooth operations
- Negotiate rates and terms with logistics providers
- Support the sales team with administrative support, shipment updates and logistics coordination
- Ensure all booking information is accurate and up to date
- Manage general export bookings and invoicing when required
- Create shipments in LBase
- Carry out general administrative duties as needed
Experience required
- Proven experience in multi-modal operations, including air, road and sea
- Strong freight forwarding knowledge
- Good understanding of customs procedures
- Experience communicating with overseas agents
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy freight environment
