We are working with a well-established and forward-thinking automotive business in Chelmsford, recently recognised as one of the Best Places to Work to hire a Vehicle Technician. This is not your standard workshop role. You will be working in a brand-new, high-tech environment with strong earning potential and ongoing development.
The Role
- Carry out mechanical assessments across a range of vehicles
- Diagnose faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Complete high-quality repairs to retail standard
- Identify defects and report any issues accurately
- Fit accessories and components as required
- Maintain clear and accurate job records
- Ensure workshop equipment is maintained and safe
- Keep work areas clean, organised and compliant
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Motor Vehicle Repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
