The Role
As Ocean Export Operator, you will manage export shipments from start to finish, ensuring efficient routing, accurate documentation and strong client communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage ocean export shipments end-to-end
- Arrange bookings with carriers and hauliers
- Route planning for overseas transport
- Negotiate rates while protecting margin
- Update shipment milestones accurately
- Raise quotations promptly and competitively
- Invoice in line with agreed credit terms
- Process purchase invoices and associated costs
- Maintain compliance with customs regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience within ocean export freight forwarding
- Strong industry knowledge and commercial awareness
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident client communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of customs and compliance
- UK Resident with right to work in the UK
- Driver with own transport desirable
