Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Barking, Essex – £40,000 Basic + Overtime (£65,000–£80,000 OTE) – Permanent
Noble Recruiting is hiring for a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer for a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Barking, Essex. This role combines internal workshop engineering with off-site and field-based work. This position would suit a hands-on Electrical Engineer with strong mechanical experience, particularly within industrial motor repairs and rotating equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs, maintenance and fitting work across a range of industrial machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Industrial motor repairs
- Gearbox repairs and maintenance
- Fitting pumps and air handling units
- Mechanical machining work using lathe turners within the machine shop
- Workshop-based engineering and field service support
- Fault finding and hands-on repair work
Candidate Requirements
- Strong Electrical Engineering background
- Hands-on mechanical engineering experience
- Experience working with industrial motors, pumps or gearboxes
- Confident operating lathe machinery within a machine shop
- Ability to work both independently and on-site when required
- 18th Edition not required
