Finance Manager | Chelmsford, Essex
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 DOE

Noble Recruiting is working with a fast-growing transactional business in Chelmsford to recruit an experienced Finance Manager.
This is a hands-on Finance Manager role, leading a small finance team of 2 and taking responsibility for financial reporting, management accounts, process improvement and day-to-day transactional finance. This role would suit a commercially minded Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional who enjoys being close to the detail, improving systems and supporting wider business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce weekly and monthly profit and business reports
- Prepare management accounts including accruals, journals, prepayments and bank reconciliations
- Manage P&L reporting and support commercial decision making
- Oversee sales ledger and purchase ledger activity
- Manage credit control, customer credit accounts and new credit applications
- Liaise with the external payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance and reporting
- Ensure all finance paperwork and records are correctly documented
- Support the business with ad hoc finance duties when required
About You
- Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Management Accountant or Senior Finance professional
- Strong financial reporting and management accounts experience
- Confident managing transactional finance processes
- Commercially aware with a hands on approach
- Able to supervise and support a small team
- Sage 50 experience would be beneficial
