CNC Miller, Southend-on-Sea, Essex
£30,000 to £36,000 per annum DOE

Monday to Thursday, 6:45 am to 4:30 pm
We are recruiting an experienced CNC Miller Setter Operator to join an established and growing engineering company in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. Due to new contracts and increased production, this is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist looking to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Setting and operating CNC milling and machining equipment
- Working with Fanuc and Seiki controls
- Setting and running 1st and 2nd operation machinery
- Working with aluminium, stainless steel and Inconel
- Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Monitoring machine efficiency, quality and production targets
- Reducing scrap and rework
- Completing production and maintenance records accurately
- Supporting and training junior machine operators when required
The Person
- Previous CNC setting and operating experience is essential
- Experience as a CNC Miller, CNC Setter Operator or CNC Machinist
- Some CNC programming experience
- Experience with bar feed machines
- Knowledge of Fanuc and Seiki controls
- Confident reading engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Automotive, aerospace or defence manufacturing experience would be advantageous
