Name
There is significant scientific research which shows that key personality areas like trust, goal focus, emotional expression, complex thinking, connecting with people and leading are good predictors of a range of important workplace outcomes.

Using psychometric testing, alongside traditional recruitment practices, can build a more objective overview of a candidate’s character, strengths, weaknesses and working style and help the hiring manager determine whether the candidate will be a good fit for a particular team.

Let’s take a look at how Our Personality Questionnaire can be used as part of your HR Toolkit:
Removing unconcious bias

A psychometric test can help to eliminate any unconscious bias by the interviewer(s) which can otherwise play a role in the selection of a successful candidate.

An example could be, a candidate looks like a great fit on paper, but comes across as shy during the interview process and doesn’t get through to the second interview. Using the personality questionnaire, you have identified that although this candidate didn’t necessarily shine at the interview stage… their thinking; goal focus and leadership style is a good fit for the vacancy and the team.

Aids larger recruitment programmes

Some of our clients use our personality questionnaire to aid their larger recruitment programmes which they undertake quarterly to fill their customer service led roles.

They like the fact that the test is quick and can be done in conjunction with other aptitude assessments we provide. The combined results are then emailed to them for review.

This allows their HR team to assess candidates quickly and cheaply. It has also become a vital tool in screening candidates during the pandemic where our clients have had to apply a virtual recruitment process.

 Highlighting a cultural fit

Here at Noble Recruiting we make it our business to know every candidate extremely well. Not just their career history, but also their personality traits, what they want from a job, their long term career path and, how they would fit in your workplace.

Using our personality questionnaire, it also allows us to dig a little deeper and provide an accurate insight into a candidate’s preference for behaviours, for example it might show that they tend to be quiet or they can be emotional and spontaneous. With this in mind, we can explore further how this might fit with your current team and culture.

Employee development programmes

These behavioural-based assessments are also perfect for evaluating your existing team prior to a restructure or to identify training gaps.

It allows you to compare individuals globally or across your whole Company quickly and easily with the inbuilt reporting and scoring mechanism.

That way you can drive AND monitor the impact of restructures within your business on a quarterly basis.

How it works
Individuals taking the test are presented with a series of statements and asked how strongly they agree or disagree with them on a 5-point scale. It’s a reflective self-assessment tool of how the individual perceives their own behaviour. The results presented will report whether the person is below, about or above average compared to a norm group of their peers.
