Warehouse Supervisor | Location: Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6.00 am to 3.00 pm
Additional: Overtime may be required during peak periods
Requirements: Own transport essential. Valid Counterbalance or Combi Forklift licence required.
Noble Recruiting is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy and fast-paced business in the Southend-on-Sea area. This is a permanent position from day one and would suit someone confident in leading a team, happy to be hands-on, and comfortable working across both warehouse and yard operations.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. You will be out with the team, keeping the yard moving, supporting goods in and out, dealing with drivers and customers, checking stock, overseeing paperwork and making sure the warehouse and yard are safe, tidy and well organised. You will need to be practical, reliable and confident enough to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a busy working environment.
Duties will include
- Supervising the warehouse and yard team daily
- Supporting goods in, goods out, loading and unloading
- Keeping the warehouse and yard clean, safe and organised
- Managing stock checks and supporting stock accuracy
- Greeting customers and drivers and assisting with enquiries
- Checking loaded vehicles against paperwork
- Overseeing forklift checks, racking inspections and compliance paperwork
- Supporting staff appraisals, training needs and day-to-day people management
- Reporting incidents, accidents or concerns correctly
- Carrying out general warehouse and yard duties as required
