Noble Recruiting are recruiting for an experienced Nights Warehouse Manager to join a well-established business based in Hemel Hempstead. This is a hands-on management position overseeing a team of 8–10 staff within a modern, well-equipped warehouse. You’ll be responsible for ensuring night shift operations run efficiently, with all picking, loading and dispatch deadlines met.
The Role
- Manage daily night shift warehouse operations and supervise a team of 8–10 employees.
- Plan and allocate picking, loading and dispatch workloads.
- Monitor productivity, KPIs and customer order deadlines.
- Oversee stock control, inventory management and warehouse space.
- Operate Counterbalance or Combi Forklift Trucks when required.
- Manage staff attendance, performance, training and development.
- Complete stock checks, safety inspections and operational paperwork.
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
- Coordinate an effective handover to the day shift management team.
You Will Need
- Recent experience as a Warehouse Manager, Night Shift Manager or Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Counterbalance or Combi Forklift Truck experience – essential.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to warehouse operations.
- Ability to undertake manual handling duties, including heavy lifting.
- Experience within timber or building materials would be advantageous.
- Own transport due to the location and working hours.
- Right to work in the UK.
