Accounts Assistant
West Horndon, Essex
£26,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 3.30 pm or 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
Noble Recruiting are working with a growing business in West Horndon, Essex, who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail and is confident supporting the day-to-day running of a busy accounts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase invoices and matching them to purchase orders
- Managing supplier statements and resolving account discrepancies
- Supporting sales ledger duties, including raising invoices and monitoring customer payments
- Processing bank transactions
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Supporting credit control and following up on outstanding payments
- Preparing payment runs and maintaining accurate financial records
- Updating financial databases and filing systems
- Responding to finance related queries from suppliers, customers and internal departments
- Supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc duties
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team
About You
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar accounts role
- Confident working with purchase ledger and sales ledger processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational skills
- Confident using Excel and accounting systems
- QuickBooks experience would be desirable, but is not essential
- Able to work well as part of a team
